BRBC Family Camp

Topic:  Serving an Invisible God in a Visible World

 

A five-day church family reunion with good friends, fun, and teaching for everyone.

Day 1

Check-in at 4:00pm and settle into your room. Dinner is provided and first speaker will  speak.

Day 2

Your first full day. Three lectures. Kids classes, choir, and sports begin.

Day 3

Second full day. Talent show tryouts in the afternoon.

Day 4

Third full day. Sports champions are determined. Talent show!

Day 5

Final day.  Pack and say good-bye.  Leave before lunch.

 

 

Where members  and friends of the Presbytery of Southern California make summer memories and grow in Christ. There will be singing, prayer, classes for all ages, and sports. Accommodations, activities, meals, and a camp t-shirt are all included.

Christopher Chelpka

About the pastor

Christopher Chelpka is pastor of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Arizona. He and his wife, Della, have five children and lots of pets. Before becoming a minister he received a degree in Music Education from Northern Arizona University and an M. Div. from Westminster Seminary California. He and his family have been Family Campers since 2011.

High in the San Bernadino Mountains, Pinecrest Christian Conference Center is beautiful and refreshing. It is fully equipped with a dining hall, indoor sleeping accommodations, meeting rooms, and play facilities.

Your Room

Lodges. There are several two-story Alpine lodges with up to 20 large rooms, 10 on each floor. Each room can sleep a family of 6, with two rooms housing up to 9. The individual rooms contain one queen bed and four or seven single wooden framed bunk beds. The rooms are carpeted with a sink, mirror and electrical outlets. Many of the rooms have connecting doors which will allow you to be close to your friends and family. The lodges have two centrally located bathrooms on each floor. Each bathroom contains three toilets, sinks and mirrors, three private showers and a semi-private dressing area. Bathrooms on the lower-level are handicapped-accessible. Each floor of the lodges has a large common area with many windows, tables, and chairs. Campers use these spaces for classes and fellowship throughout the day.

Suites. The Pinecrest Suites are for adults only (18 yrs and older). The Suites are made up of several three-story chateaus, some with three bedrooms, others with five bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of two persons per room on a queen size bed. Each chateau has a living area with fireplace for small intimate group fellowship. Refrigerators and microwaves are included; however, cooking is not allowed. You will need to bring your own paper goods (towels, plates, cups, etc.). Linens, including towels and washcloths, are provided. The Suites maximum occupancy is 64 persons.

Registration Fees

Conference + Lodges + All Meals

Standard: $88 per night

Youth: (4-12yrs) $49 per night

Toddlers/Infants: (<3) $20 per night

Conference + Pinecrest Suites + All Meals

Standard: $102 per night

Conference Only + Two Meals

Standard: $45 per day

Youth: (4-12yrs) $25 per day

Toddlers/Infants: (<3) $10 per day

Additional meals may be purchased for $15 each.

The registration fee includes a non-refundable deposit of $25.00 per person.
